What’s the best way to look at your nose?

The nose needs to be examined in otorhinolaryngology, the first thing you need to do is to look at the shape of the nose, whether there is nose deviation, nasal collapse; secondly, through the anterior rhinoscope to see the nasal vestibule, nasal septum, and the middle turbinate, the inferior turbinate, and the upper turbinate, focusing on checking the septum for deviation, perforation, and the inferior turbinate for congestion, swelling, and pus secretion; and lastly, you need to check the nasopharyngeal area and pharyngeal saphenous cavity to see whether you find a tumor or abnormal neoplasms. Finally, the nasopharynx and the pharyngeal crypts should be examined for tumors or neoplasm. Common nasal diseases may include nasal vestibulitis, nasal septal deviation, nasal septal perforation, chronic hypertrophic rhinitis, nasal polyps, fibrovascular tumors of the nasal cavity, and malignant tumors of the nasopharynx. The examination needs to be done carefully and conscientiously, and if the patient is suspected of having sinusitis a sinus CT is also needed to make a definitive diagnosis.
