How many hairs fall out a day is normal?

Many people will be anxious because of the fear of baldness and often see people saying that when they wash their hair, a handful of hair falls out and they come to the hospital to ask if they will lose all their hair. Most of this fear is unnecessary. A normal person has nearly 100,000 hairs. Human hair is different from animals in that human hair does not grow synchronously. Whereas animal hair can be seen to shed large swaths of hair in the summer because it grows synchronously, in humans you do not see large swaths of hair loss. Under normal circumstances, the growth of human hair is divided into three periods, namely the anagen phase, the regression phase and the resting phase. They are 3 to 4 years, 3 to 4 weeks and 3 to 4 months respectively. At any given time, 90% of human hair is in the anagen phase and only a few hairs are in the resting phase. The resting hair can fall out on its own or when shampooing or combing. A normal person can shed 60-100 hairs per day and have the same number of hairs regrown at the same time. Counting the number of hairs shed per day by yourself should include the hairs shed from pillow, bed, combing and after bathing, counting them daily and preferably averaging them for 1 week in a row. Sometimes, if you don’t wash your hair for several days in a row, more hair will be shed when you wash your hair again, possibly more than 100. so be sure to count continuously to take the average.
