What to do if you have a difficult delivery in the head position

The treatment of difficult cephalic labor is as follows: 1. fully assess the size of the baby and the mother’s pelvis; 2. when the assessment result is good, carry out trial of labor. In the first stage of labor, when the opening of the uterus is about to be dilated to 6cm, the contractions should be evaluated, and if the contractions are not strong, manual rupture of membranes or oxytocic surgery should be taken to strengthen the contractions, so that the fetal head descends at a rate of 1cm per hour; in the second stage of labor, after the opening of the uterus, when the fetal head descends to 3cm below the sciatic spine, the labor can be assisted by guided surgery; 3, when fetal distress, abnormal fetal heartbeat and other adverse conditions occur during the trial of labor, and the labor cannot be delivered normally within a short period of time, a cesarean section should be performed. Caesarean section should be performed.
