Sudden non-speaking in advanced stage of liver cancer is considered to be caused by the combination of hepatic encephalopathy, extreme weakness of the patient, brain metastasis and so on. 1. Combined with hepatic encephalopathy: hepatic encephalopathy is a central nervous system dysfunction based on metabolic disorder caused by hepatic insufficiency or portal-body shunt. After hepatic encephalopathy appears, the patient may be in a state of lethargy or coma, so he or she may suddenly stop talking and become unconscious. 2. Extreme physical weakness of patients: Due to the continuous aggravation of the condition, patients with advanced stage of liver cancer will cause the failure of organs of the whole body and become extremely weak, at this time, the patients are unable to speak, eat or drink and other basic actions, so they cannot speak. 3. Brain metastasis: If brain metastasis occurs in advanced stage of liver cancer, it may compress and affect the speech center, resulting in sudden inability to speak and aphasia. If the patient is unable to speak in the advanced stage of liver cancer, family members of the patient should report to the doctor in charge immediately and follow the doctor’s instruction to take the next step of treatment.
