Gastric cancer is a common malignant tumor in digestive system. Due to the atypical clinical symptoms of early gastric cancer, many patients are already in middle or late stage when they are diagnosed with gastric cancer, thus losing the chance of radical surgery. Currently, the main metastatic pathways of gastric cancer in clinic include lymphatic metastasis, bloodstream metastasis and peritoneal implantation metastasis. Ovarian metastasis of gastric cancer is mostly caused by peritoneal implantation metastasis, which is caused by the cancer tissue invading into the plasma membrane and shedding to the peritoneal cavity. Ovarian metastasis of gastric cancer is clinically called Kukenberg’s tumor, which can be mucinous cell carcinoma, poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma or tubular adenocarcinoma. Once ovarian metastasis occurs in gastric cancer, it means that the disease has reached middle or late stage, and the chance of radical surgery is lost, and the treatment is based on chemotherapy, targeted therapy and comprehensive treatment.
