How long does a bilateral thalamic hemorrhage last?

Bilateral thalamic hemorrhage can live for hours or decades. How long a person lives with a thalamic hemorrhage is directly related to the amount of bleeding. Small amounts of bleeding have mild symptoms and do not affect life expectancy; if the amount of bleeding is large, it is possible that the brain will herniate and die within a few hours.
If the amount of thalamic hemorrhage is relatively small, the damage to the brain cells is relatively small, and the impact on the patient’s limb function is small, which will not affect the patient’s life expectancy.
A larger amount of thalamic hemorrhage may break into the ventricles of the brain, leading to obstruction of the cerebrospinal fluid pathway and causing a progressive increase in intracranial pressure, which may eventually lead to cerebral hernia and death.
If cerebral hemorrhage is suspected, the patient should go to a regular hospital immediately and be treated under the guidance of a doctor.
