Should you pick your nose if you have a booger in it?

It is generally not recommended to pick at boogers in the nose.
Boogers in the nose are usually caused by inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity that lead to the collection of secretions; or because of the dusty environment, due to the filtering effect of nasal hairs and nasal mucosa and the gradual formation of excreta. It is not recommended to pick the boogers by hand, as picking the boogers by hand may cause damage, rupture and bleeding of the nasal mucosa, and may induce infection.
The correct way to deal with it:
1. If there is only a small amount of booger, you can use saline nasal spray or nasal rinsing to promote the discharge of booger, or with sterile cotton swabs to clean the booger.
2. If the increase in boogers is due to inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity, you need to actively treat rhinitis and sinusitis in order to solve the problem of boogers from the root. Picking out the boogers is only treating the symptoms but not the root cause.
