Causes of shortness of breath at night

Shortness of breath at night needs to be considered a cardiac problem. Lying down after the return of blood increased, if the patient has a heart disease, such as hypertension heart failure patients appear out of breath, suffocation, usually consider acute left heart failure, need to elevate the body position, and prompt medical attention. Asthma attack can lead to nighttime dyspnea, asthma patients not only lying down can have shortness of breath, after sitting up the airway can also spasm, resulting in shortness of breath. Some patients may have shortness of breath when snoring, and in severe cases, they may have a sudden apnea with no ventilation for up to 1 minute, and then enter the next cycle, i.e. sleep apnea syndrome. Some patients can even have severe apnea, especially if they are overweight.
