Colla Corii Asini is mainly used for the treatment of blood deficiency and atrophy, dizziness and palpitations, muscle atrophy and weakness, heartburn and insomnia.
Colla Corii Asini, sweet in flavor and flat in nature, belongs to the lung, liver and kidney meridians. It has the effect of tonifying blood and nourishing yin, moistening dryness and stopping bleeding. It is used for the internal movement of deficiency wind, cough with lung dryness, cough and hemoptysis with exertion, vomiting blood and urinating blood, blood in stool and leakage (excessive menstruation or more than a few drops), pregnancy leakage (small amount of bleeding from the vagina in the early stage of pregnancy), and so on.
