What’s wrong with the white particles around the nipples?

Normally, there are distinct areolar glands around the nipple and between the areolas, which act as lubricating agents during breastfeeding, preventing nipple cracking and nipple pain. When these glands are blocked or otherwise occluded due to inflammation, they grow white bumps, like small particles, which are white and gather in clusters, and the accumulation and absorption of glandular secretions makes them particularly noticeable from the outside. In mild cases, anti-inflammatory ointment can be applied locally to reduce inflammation and pain, while more serious cases require consultation with a surgeon for detailed diagnosis and treatment. The treatment includes medication and also local incision and drainage to remove the small pus spots or white particles formed around them, so that the ducts of the mammary glands can be opened and the formation of white particles can be reduced.
