Is it serious to have no change in lung nodules for three months

Lung nodules that remain unchanged for three months usually do not cause serious conditions, but they still need to be reviewed regularly.
Lung nodules are usually caused by pneumonic pseudotumor, pulmonary nodular disease, tuberculosis, lung cancer, etc. If the dynamic monitoring of the place of the lung nodules for three months did not occur further developmental changes, usually for benign lesions in the lungs, the condition is not serious.
However, if the patient has a history of smoking, family history of lung cancer, occupational exposure to dust and other high risk factors for lung cancer, or if the diameter of the lung nodule is greater than 5mm, the development of the nodule should continue to be observed by chest CT.
If patients have symptoms such as fever, night sweats, weight loss, fatigue, loss of appetite, etc., they should supplement tuberculin test and histologic examination of lung nodules to determine whether they have tuberculosis or pulmonary nodular disease.
Patients with lung nodules should strictly quit smoking, consider changing jobs if the job has dust exposure, and regularly review chest CT, which can basically be judged as benign lesions if the nodules do not develop.
