First aid steps for fainting

After fainting, it is necessary to ensure the safety of the environment in which the rescuer is located, call for help from those around you, and call 120. Different treatments are given depending on whether breathing and heartbeat are present. 1. Loss of breathing and heartbeat: Consider cardiac arrest, CPR needs to be given immediately, the steps are as follows: (1) Chest compression: the root of the palm of the left hand to find the midpoint of the patient’s two nipple line, the right hand pressed on the back of the left hand, arms taut, with the body’s strength to press down vertically, the general depth of compression is not less than 5cm, the frequency of more than 100 times / minute. (2) Open the airway: make sure there is no cervical spine injury, put the left hand on the patient’s forehead, press backward with force, and lift the patient’s head up with the right hand so as to open the airway, and clean up foreign objects in the patient’s mouth and nose at the same time. (3) Artificial respiration: the rescuer gently pinches the patient’s nose with his hand, wraps both lips completely around the patient’s mouth, and blows air to the patient at an even rate, with the ratio of chest compressions and artificial respiration being 30:2. 2. Existence of spontaneous breathing and heartbeat: fainting caused by upright hypotension, let the patient lie flat, lower limbs elevated, can significantly reduce the symptoms; hypoglycemia triggered by fainting, accompanied by profuse sweating, hand shaking, hunger, lying down, give sugar water to take; hypertensive encephalopathy caused by fainting, often accompanied by convulsions, temporary paralysis and numbness of the limbs, wake up and promptly give antihypertensive drugs. The cause of fainting is complex, when it is not possible to determine, it is not advisable to give drugs hastily and wait for rescue.
