Compound Fishweed Soft Capsule is a proprietary Chinese medicine. It contains Fritillaria, Astragalus, Panax quinquefolium, Forsythia, and Honeysuckle. It is used for sore throat caused by external wind-heat; acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis with wind-heat symptoms.
Adverse reactions of Compound Fishweed Soft Capsules include dry throat, heartburn, palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), hand shaking. Contraindications are not clear.
Avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy food during the medication. Patients with suppurating tonsils or fever with temperature over 38.5℃ should go to the hospital. Allergic to the product is prohibited, allergic individuals should be cautious. Use with caution in special groups and those with spleen deficiency and loose stools (thin and unformed feces).
