The most obvious symptoms of spleen yang deficiency are the main points of identification of this syndrome, i.e. abdominal pain, bloating and loose stools are common with the symptoms of yang deficiency. Spleen yang deficiency is mostly caused by aggravation of spleen qi deficiency, or due to overeating cold food, overuse of bitter-cold medicines, external cold directly hitting the spleen and earth (external evils directly invading the internal organs through the muscle surface) and damaging spleen yang over time; or due to failure of fire at the gate of the life (weakness of the kidney yang of the organism, with a reduced function of warming and pushing the movement of qi and blood), deficiency of kidney yang (lack of yang qi in the kidneys) and the failure of fire to produce earth. Symptoms of Spleen-Yang deficiency include abdominal distension, lingering abdominal pain (persistent mild abdominal pain), a tendency to feel warmth and pressure, little nourishment, coldness (fear of cold, cold extremities), undigested grains (large amounts of undigested food in the stools), or scanty stools, swollen limbs, scanty and profuse leukorrhea, or scanty urination. Deficiency of spleen yang leads to loss of power of transportation and digestion, so there is little abdominal distension and scanty stools; it leads to coldness and cold condensation and stagnation of qi, so there is abdominal pain, and it likes warmth and pressing; it leads to loss of warmth and warmth, so there is coldness and coldness of limbs; it leads to fluid not being transformed and overflowing of the skin, so the limbs are swollen and the amount of urination is short; and it leads to water-dampness injecting downward, and the belt vein is not solid, so there is scanty and scanty belt, and it has a high amount of whiteness, and so on. The above symptoms should be treated promptly to avoid delaying the condition.
