What to check within a pregnant woman

The internal examination of pregnant women mainly examines the vagina for transverse septum, longitudinal septum, adhesions, etc., abnormal anatomical structures that affect the smooth delivery of the fetus, abnormal lesions such as hard nodes and masses, abnormal discharge, and checks whether the cervix is dilated and whether there are abnormal lesions such as lacerations, erosions, inflammation, cysts and polyps. The mobility, hardness and texture of the cervix are normal, and there is no contact bleeding. Check the right and left fallopian tubes and ovaries for organic disease and for abnormalities such as obvious tenderness and masses. The contents of the examination during the internal examination are not the same in different weeks of pregnancy, and the contents of the internal examination in the same week of pregnancy are not exactly the same between different pregnant women. It is recommended to consult the attending physician before performing the examination to avoid unnecessary and excessive examination. It is important to note that intravaginal examination is absolutely contraindicated in pregnant women who have a low placenta position during pregnancy, i.e. placenta praevia.
