In clinical practice, acupuncture therapy is mainly used in four aspects: treatment of diseases, assistance in diagnosis, acupuncture anesthesia and preventive health care. I. Acupuncture can help diagnose diseases in two ways: 1) by examining acupuncture points or specific parts of the body, the nature and location of the disease can be inferred, as well as the meridian and the state of deficiency, such as the diagnosis of internal diseases through the ear acupuncture points. 2) acupuncture can help the smooth physical and chemical diagnosis and increase the positive rate of diagnosis, such as in the upper gastrointestinal X-ray, barium meal imaging, fiberoptic gastroscopy, esophagoscopy, etc. The application in the examination of upper gastrointestinal X-ray, barium meal imaging, fiberoptic gastroscopy, esophagoscopy, etc. It has a good effect. Needle anesthesia: Needle anesthesia has four advantages: 1. safe to use, no allergy to anesthetic drugs and other toxic side effects. 2. the patient is awake and can cooperate with the doctor to improve the surgical effect. 3. with adjustment function, less intraoperative physiological disturbance. 4. postoperative pain is light and wound healing is fast, which is conducive to patient recovery. In anterior cranial fossa surgery, thyroidectomy, anterior cervical spine surgery, lobectomy, total hysterectomy, caesarean section and tubal ligation, etc., the application of needle anesthesia has a more desirable effect, thus becoming a more desirable anesthesia method at present. Fourth, preventive health care: modern research has proved that acupuncture has a good two-way regulation of human cellular immune function and humoral immune function, and also has a regulating effect on the functional activities of all human systems. This provides a scientific basis for the ancient use of acupuncture for preventive health care. From the current clinical point of view, for example, the prevention and treatment of asthma in winter and summer (moxibustion of Lung Yu and Fengmen points on the day of volcano), as well as the strengthening of the body and prolonging life by moxibustion of Foot San Li, Guan Yuan and Qi Hai points, all have good effects.
