What is the role of the pituitary gland

The adenopituitary gland is the most important endocrine organ in the brain and is located at the base of the brain, near the lower part of the optic chiasm, shaped like a cherry. Although it is located in the central nervous system, it actually belongs to the endocrine system. It secretes many hormones and can stimulate the secretion of hormones in the lower part of the optic chalazion. There are seven main hormones secreted, including growth hormone, prolactin, gonadotropin, melanotropin, thyroid stimulating hormone, and adrenocorticotropic hormone. These hormones are secreted by different cells, for example, growth hormone is secreted by growth hormone cells, prolactin is secreted by prolactin cells, and thyrotropin hormone is secreted by thyrotropin hormone cells. The many different types of cells come together to form the adenopituitary gland.
