What is the cause of a lump in the earnail cavity

If a lump is found in the auricular cavity, the most common type is an auricular pseudocyst. Auricular pseudocyst is a condition caused by the layering of cartilage in the auricle and the presence of fluid in the area. There are two types of treatment, one is localized fluid extraction, after which the auricle is fixed with an external fixation device and then compressed. After a few days of removal, it will be cured if it does not recur. The other is to do a local cartilage excision and aspiration of the fluid, followed by local compression. This has a higher cure rate, but with an incision. If the bumps are found to be superficially congested and have a fluctuating sensation or significant pain, a local infection, such as a cystic infection or a local hair follicle, can be treated with anti-inflammatory medications and topical alcohol or iodophor applied for disinfection.
