What are soft tissue density shadows?

Soft tissue densitometry is an imaging modality that describes the occurrence of masses or tumors in tissues and organs of the body, including benign and malignant tumors. If a mass occurs on the surface of the body, it is usually determined to be malignant based on whether it is surrounded by clear borders or rich in blood flow signals. If malignancy is suspected, local puncture or even pathological biopsy is considered, and radical resection of the tumor is often required after confirmation of malignancy. For intra-abdominal masses or tumors, further enhanced CT or MRI examination is usually performed, and even combined with hematological tumor indicators, such as CEA, Ca199, AFP, Ca125, to determine whether it is malignant or not, and if necessary, further pathological biopsy or even surgical radical treatment.
