The main effect of vitamin B6 is used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B₆ deficiencies such as seborrheic dermatitis, dry and cracked lips, and also to reduce vomiting in pregnancy. However, overuse can lead to side effects such as peripheral neuritis.
Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxal phosphate, is a water-soluble vitamin, and it works in the following ways.
