Moxibustion is not recommended for patients with renal failure, and moxibustion will not have any therapeutic value for renal failure. The treatment of renal failure needs to be tailored to the cause. For example, the common causes of acute renal failure are diarrhea, heat stroke, hemorrhage, which affects the kidneys with insufficient blood supply, and timely transfusion and blood transfusion are needed to expand the blood volume and restore the blood supply to the kidneys. The common causes of chronic renal failure are chronic nephritis, diabetic nephropathy, hypertension, etc. Early chronic nephritis requires the use of hormones to control proteinuria and delay renal failure; chronic renal failure caused by diabetes and hypertension requires blood sugar control and blood pressure control. Therefore, the use of moxibustion will not have a therapeutic value for kidney failure, and may even be harmful to the kidneys because of this misunderstanding.
