A pregnant woman’s two-hour postprandial blood glucose of 7.8 mmol/L is above normal and high. Normal two-hour postprandial blood glucose should be no more than 6.7 mmol/L. In early pregnancy, we will measure the fasting blood glucose of pregnant women, and in mid-pregnancy, the glucose tolerance test is usually performed in the 24th to 28th week of pregnancy. If one of the three glucose tolerance test results is abnormal, the diagnosis of gestational diabetes is made, and dietary control and exercise therapy are required, followed by retesting of the blood glucose value, with the goal of controlling the pregnant woman’s two-hour postprandial blood glucose value to be less than 6.7 mmol/L. If the pregnant woman’s two-hour postprandial blood glucose value is 7.8 mmol/L, insulin therapy is required.
