Are all three bilirubin levels high as a precursor to hepatitis?

An elevation in all three bilirubin levels generally indicates the presence of liver cell damage and inflammation, but may also be due to other factors. Bilirubin is an important indicator of the health of the liver. Three bilirubin refers to direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin and total bilirubin. If all three are elevated, it indicates the possible presence of acute jaundice, chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis, toxic hepatitis, but it may also be caused by problems such as cholecystitis and gallstones. Problems such as dietary habits and lifestyle habits can also induce a transient bilirubin elevation. Three elevated bilirubin may not be a precursor of hepatitis. You need to confirm whether you are at risk of hepatitis by combining liver and biliary ultrasound, liver CT or MRI, blood routine, liver function and other tests.
