The symptoms of perioral dermatitis can be seen in the following aspects: a. Self-perceived symptoms, the original intense itching gradually changes to mild itching or no itching. The color of the rash can change from the original bright red to light red or dark red, and eventually the rash disappears leaving behind hyperpigmented or hypopigmented spots. The rash may appear as erythema, papules, papules, or blisters, most of which dry up, crust over, or disappear. The original fused rash becomes smaller in size, the rash becomes flatter and thinner, and the original flaking changes from more to less or no flaking.
