What level of pain is gout considered

The pain level of gout generally varies from person to person and is also related to the period of onset. A visual analog scale is often used to assess the pain level, which ranges from 2-4 in the early stages of gout to 7-10 in the late stages of gout or in acute attacks of gout. The basic method of visual analog scoring is to use a 10-cm-long travel scale with 10 scales on one side and “0” and “10” scores on both ends, with 0 indicating no pain and 10 representing the most severe pain that is intolerable. In the early stage of gout attack, the pain is relatively low, about 2-4 levels, most people only feel mild pain, but if the individual tolerance is poor, the pain level will be relatively elevated 1-2 levels. Advanced gout or acute gout attack, the patient pain is relatively high, this time can feel cut or chisel-like pain, the pain level is generally up to 7-10. At this time, it is necessary to use drugs under the guidance of physicians and other methods to relieve. Gout can cause redness, swelling and pain in the joints, causing impaired joint mobility, and sometimes accompanied by fever. When gout attacks, the slightest touch may cause severe pain. If the gout develops into the advanced stage, the pain is reduced but lasts for a relatively long time and is more obvious. If gout-related symptoms occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner to complete the relevant examinations to determine the cause of the disease and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the diagnosis and treatment, so as to avoid delays in the condition, resulting in aggravation of the pain.
