Symptoms and management of electrolyte disorders

For abdominal distension, low appetite, nausea and vomiting, and oliguria caused by electrolyte disorders, saline supplementation can be used to alleviate the symptoms, and further treatment can be provided with prescriptions such as Wu Ling San.
Wu Ling San consists of Poria, Zeloda, Poria, Cinnamomum cassia and Atractylodes macrocephala, which are used to promote the flow of water and dampness (to eliminate dampness), and to dissipate cold and promote yang.
All the medicines in the formula to play a warm yang qi (warm through the body of yang qi), diuresis and water effect.
It is mainly used for the treatment of edema caused by Yang not transforming Qi (blockage of Qi in the body) and water-dampness internal stagnation (water-dampness stays in the body), with symptoms such as poor urination, edema, abdominal distension, vomiting, diarrhea, and thirst without desire to drink. Adverse effects and contraindications of this formula have not been clarified.
