The patient was a female, 40 years old. She was admitted to the hospital with “numbness in the right limb for 1 year, accompanied by numbness in the left hand for 20 days”. Enhanced MRI showed a significant enhancement signal at T6-7, with an extended cavity above and below. After admission, an intramedullary tumor resection was performed under the supervision of local anesthesia. 1 week after the surgery, the numbness of the right limb improved. The MRI was repeated 2 months after surgery and showed that the cavity in the thoracic spinal cord was significantly smaller than before surgery.
