Is chemotherapy required for complete surgical removal of giant pancreatic tumor?

Wang, a 10-year-old male, had a giant pancreatic tumor and underwent pancreatic tumor resection + pancreatic-jejunal R-Y anastomosis, which was smooth, and postoperative pathology showed: (retroperitoneal) pancreatic solid – pseudopapillary tumor. Preoperative enhanced CT of the abdomen showed: a class of round low-density shadow was seen behind the gallbladder and on the right side of the pancreas, with a size of about 7.0×6.0×7.1 cm, clear borders, CT value of 38 HU, and inhomogeneous internal density; after enhancement, CT value of 57 HU, internal vascular shadow was seen, the surrounding large vessels were displaced by compression, and the main trunk of portal vein was narrowed by compression.
