Surgical treatment of giant liposarcoma

A: Giant liposarcoma with dumbbell shape located in the buttock and pelvis; B: External phase and incision design; C: Ligation of the superior gluteal artery and complete resection of the mass from the buttock after freeing the tumor in the pelvis; D: Transposition of the broad fascial tensor fasciae myocutaneous flap to repair the giant defect in the buttock. Chen Yong Surgical treatment of highly differentiated liposarcoma was the main focus. This case had a huge lesion with extensive skin involvement, which belonged to the category of refractory sarcoma. The application of myocutaneous flap transposition repair helped us to obtain satisfactory tumor resection borders and reduce the recurrence rate.
