Ground glass density shadow in the right lung is an imaging term that refers to an abnormal change in density in the lungs, shaped like ground glass. It is usually seen in inflammation, tuberculosis, tumor, etc. 1. Inflammation: when there is localized inflammation in the lungs, when the inflammatory nodules are reduced or disappear after treatment, the inflammation or old lesions in the lungs that have not been completely absorbed may remain as ground-glass shadows. 2. Tuberculosis: some patients with tuberculosis may show glassy changes in the lung field on imaging. 3. Tumor: malignant tumors in the lungs can be manifested as ground-glass nodular shadow in the early stage, and its boundary is usually blurred, sometimes accompanied by burr sign. After anti-infective treatment, the ground-glass shadow still exists and may continue to increase. When there is ground-glass shadow in the lungs, it should be combined with clinical manifestations to make a comprehensive diagnosis.
