White peony and licorice

White peony can nourish blood and astringent yin, calm liver yang, etc. It can treat deficiency of liver and blood, irregular menstruation, and disharmony between liver and spleen. The effects of licorice include nourishing the qi and tonifying the middle, clearing away heat and removing toxins, etc. It can treat spleen deficiency and tiredness, heart deficiency and palpitation, cough and asthma.
White peony and licorice are both names of traditional Chinese medicines, of which white peony is bitter, sour and slightly cold in nature. It has the efficacy of nourishing blood, astringing yin, and calming liver yang. It can be used to treat conditions such as deficiency of liver and blood, irregular menstruation, disharmony between the liver and spleen, and pain in the epigastrium (abdomen) of the chest and ribs.
Occasionally, there are adverse reactions such as epigastric discomfort and abdominal pain after taking Paeonia lactiflora, and it is contraindicated for those with qi deficiency (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by the slightest movement of the sweat) and yang deficiency sweating. It should not be used with quinoa.
Licorice is sweet in flavor and flat in nature. It can nourish the spleen and benefit the qi, clear away heat and detoxify the toxin, expel phlegm and stop coughing, relieve pain (relieve urgent pain symptoms), and harmonize all medicines (harmonize the medicinal properties of different Chinese medicines). Licorice should not be used in combination with seaweed, Kyoho, red halibut, glycyrrhiza glabra, or coriander. This product helps dampness and congestion, dampness and fullness, edema should not be used. Large doses taken for a long time can lead to water and sodium retention, causing edema.
