Back pain is not necessarily an early sign of cancer. It is more likely to consider diseases with benign soft tissue injury, such as supraspinous ligamentitis, paravertebral myofasciitis, and thoracic spine osteoarthrosis. There are more factors that can cause back pain, and benign soft tissue and ligament injuries as well as injuries to bony structures of joints are more common. Back pain may be due to other etiologies, such as thoracic spinal stenosis and herniated discs compressing nerves, which can also cause back pain. There may also be severe osteoporosis, resulting in compression fractures of the thoracic spine, which can also cause back pain. Some people may have a history of tumor themselves, and back pain may be a sign of metastatic bone tumor.
