The pulse does not necessarily diagnose heart-kidney dysfunction (heart fire, kidney yin deficiency, dysfunction of the physiological functions of the heart and kidneys), but generally needs to be combined with systemic symptoms to make a comprehensive judgment, and it is recommended that it be done under the guidance of a doctor. The pulse is the pulse cut, which is one of the four diagnostic methods in Chinese medicine. The pulse can assist the doctor in determining the type and prognosis of the disease. The pulse of Heart and Kidney Dissonance may be weak, but weak pulse may also exist in Qi and blood deficiency, water-dampness obstruction, etc. Therefore, it is not possible to judge whether it is Heart and Kidney Dissonance purely from the pulse. The systemic manifestations of Heart and Kidney Dissonance include heartburn and insomnia, palpitation and dreaming (palpitation with fright and frequent dreaming), dizziness, tinnitus, forgetfulness, lumbar and knee soreness and tenderness (feeling of soreness and tenderness of the lumbar area and knees), heat of the hands, feet and heart, dryness of the tongue and mouth, night sweating (sweating abnormally after falling asleep, but sweating stops after waking up), accompanied by soreness and coldness below the lumbar area, and a fine and weak pulse. Therefore, pulse taking may not necessarily detect heart-kidney dysfunction, and it is recommended to combine the information of the four diagnostic methods of observation, smelling, questioning and cutting to comprehensively determine the pattern of the disease under the guidance of a doctor.
