Is there a link between folliculitis and AIDS?

Folliculitis is not directly related to AIDS. Folliculitis is a bacterial or fungal infection of the skin that occurs in a single hair follicle. AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, which is a different disease.
Folliculitis occurs in the head, face, neck, chest, buttocks and back, and underarm areas, and manifests itself in the form of red papules. Treatment is generally based on the cause of the disease using antibiotics or antifungal drugs, the use of drugs should be under the guidance of a doctor. Care should also be taken to keep the skin clean and avoid scratching the skin.
HIV causes a sharp drop in the number of lymphocytes, resulting in the destruction of the body’s immune system, which can lead to a series of opportunistic infections, tumors, and so on. If you are diagnosed with HIV, you should go to a regular hospital and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
