Manifestations of gastric ulcer

  1. The concept can occur at any age, but is most prevalent at 45 to 55 years of age. The gender difference is not obvious. It is mostly solitary and often located on the lesser curved side of the stomach. Its complications commonly bleeding, perforation, pyloric obstruction, long-term failure to heal can be malignant, and its potential danger far exceeds the severity of the ulcer itself. 2. Abnormal manifestations (1) The main manifestation is pain. When the ulcer is deeper, especially in the case of perforation, the pain can involve the back. (1) The nature of the pain varies, and can be expressed as burning pain, swelling, dull pain or severe pain. Some only show hunger-like discomfort. Most patients have obvious rhythmical pain, i.e., the pain appears half an hour to two hours after a meal and disappears before the next meal, which is called “satiety pain” or “eating pain”. When the rhythm of pain changes, it should be considered that the lesion is progressing or complications are occurring. The pain may be aggravated by careless eating, mood swings, sudden climatic changes, etc. and relieved by taking acid control drugs, resting or applying heat to the painful area. (2) A few patients may have no pain or only mild discomfort. Gastric ulcers are sometimes accompanied by belching, acid reflux, nausea, vomiting, salivation and other gastrointestinal symptoms and systemic reactions, such as insomnia, excessive sweating and slow pulse. (3) If the pain increases and affects eating, there may be emaciation and anemia. (4) When the ulcer is malignant, it mostly shows persistent pain, weight loss, and long-term positive fecal occult blood test. (5) There is pressure pain in the upper abdominal pain area, which is generally mild. 3.Treatment Amoxicillin capsule, bismuth in fruit gel and omeprazole capsule are used in combination. The treatment of ulcers should achieve four purposes: (1) relief of symptoms; (2) promotion of ulcer healing; (3) prevention of recurrence; and (4) prevention and control of complications.
