Red rashes on children with fever can be caused by toddler emergency rash, measles, chicken pox, scarlet fever and other factors.
1.Measles: manifested as fever for 3~5 days, body temperature as high as 39℃ or higher; after the fever subsides, rash appears, the rash is distributed on the face and trunk, and comes out in one day, and begins to subside on the next day. There may be convulsions in high fever, and the lymph nodes in the occipital region behind the ear may be enlarged, often accompanied by mild diarrhea.
2. Measles: the rash appears after 3~4 days of fever, and the temperature can reach up to 40℃ when the rash appears, the rash is red maculopapular rash, from the head and face to the neck, and then extends to the trunk, and finally appears in the limbs, and there is hyperpigmentation and fine flaking after the rash recedes. It may be accompanied by cough, runny nose, congestion of eyelids and other symptoms.
3. Chickenpox: Rash appears after 24~48 hours of fever, manifesting as the successive and simultaneous appearance and existence of various types of skin and mucous membrane rashes such as blotchy rash, papules, herpes and crusts. The rash starts on the head, face and trunk, and then extends to the limbs. It may be accompanied by loss of appetite.
4. Scarlet fever: fever 1~2 days, rash, high fever at the time of rash, diffuse congestion of the skin, dense pinpoint-sized papules, the whole body skin can be involved, with peeling after the rash recedes. Accompanied by sore throat, headache, vomiting, ring mouth pale circle and other symptoms.
