Six-flavored Dihuang Pill is composed of Chinese yam, cornelian cherry, rhubarb, zedoary, poria, etc. It is a kind of proprietary Chinese medicine that nourishes kidney yin and is used to treat kidney yin deficiency, dizziness, ringing in the ears, soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, bone vapor and tidal heat (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat is penetrating from the inside of the bone to the outside), night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep, and sweating stops when waking up), and spermatorrhea and other disorders. It treats kidney deficiency, and various symptoms caused by kidney yin deficiency, such as soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, tinnitus and deafness, night sweating, emaciation of the body, and five heartburns and heat. The medicine consists of yam, cornelian cherry, dihuang, zedoary, poria and so on.
The specific contraindications of Liuwei Di Huang Wan are not clear. Note that patients with colds and fever should not be taken; allergy to this product is prohibited, allergic persons should be cautious; children, pregnant women, lactating women should be taken under the guidance of a physician.
