Vitamin E is generally not recommended to be taken at the same time as estrogenic drugs, coumarins and their derivatives, colestipol, colestipol, aluminum thiosulfate, and mineral oil. Long-term, high-dose vitamin E users may be at increased risk for thrombophlebitis if they also take estrogenic medications. Large doses of vitamin E taken at the same time as coumarin and its derivatives may increase the risk of bleeding. Drugs such as colestipol, colestipol, aluminum thioglycollate, and mineral oil interfere with fat absorption, and thus taking them at the same time may interfere with the body’s absorption of vitamin E. In addition, long-term, large doses of vitamin E, may appear nausea, fatigue, gastrointestinal dysfunction and other adverse reactions, allergy to vitamin E is prohibited, patients with iron deficiency anemia need to follow the doctor’s advice to use with caution.
