Boys and girls can’t get pregnant by kissing. Kissing is just contact of the mouth and lips, there is no contact of reproductive cells and this situation will not lead to pregnancy. In order to get pregnant, there needs to be sexual intercourse, which means that the male has contact with the female’s sexual organs and sperm enters the female’s vagina in order to have a chance of conception. A woman also needs to have a normal menstrual cycle and be ovulating at the time of sex to cause pregnancy. Infertility can occur if there are abnormalities in ovulation, blocked fallopian tubes, endometrial adhesions, thin endometrial lining, cervical obstruction, or if there is an abnormality in the male semen. Therefore simply kissing will not lead to pregnancy and it is advisable not to stress too much about it. Women should also pay attention to regular gynecological checkups, and seek medical attention as soon as possible if they have abdominal pain or abnormal vaginal bleeding or delayed menstruation.
