What to do if you are allergic to acupoint compresses

Acupuncture point paste allergy can be improved through general treatment and drug therapy to improve allergy symptoms; if there are systemic skin allergy symptoms, should be timely to the hospital.
1. General treatment: It is recommended to avoid continuing to use the allergy-causing acupoint patches and avoid scratching the allergic parts. At the same time, it is recommended to have a light diet, avoid oily and spicy food, have enough rest, quit smoking and drinking, have reasonable exercise, and avoid tension and anxiety.
2. Medication: Glycerine lotion can be applied to the allergic area to reduce discomfort, and oral anti-allergy drugs such as loratadine and diphenhydramine can be taken to promote the improvement of symptoms if necessary. If the weather is dry, you can use olive oil or glycerin to smear the local area before applying the paste; after removing the ointment, wipe the skin gently with lukewarm water to clean the skin, and then apply olive oil or glycerin locally again after drying.
Hyperpigmentation, flushing, slight itching, burning sensation, pain, slight redness, swelling, mild blisters are normal skin reactions to acupoint compresses. However, if there is a larger range after the application, the degree of skin erythema, blisters, rash itching phenomenon, you should immediately stop the medication, for the above symptomatic treatment; if there is a generalized skin allergy symptoms, you should promptly go to the hospital for medical attention.
