What does Nikolskysign syndrome mean?

Nikolsky sign syndrome is Nikolsky’s sign, also known as “Nystrom’s sign” or “spiny laxity sign”, is a sign seen on dermatologic examination as a palpable manifestation of herpetic dermatoses such as pemphigus vulgaris. A positive Nee’s sign is caused by a loosening of the basal cells of the epidermis and is seen in diseases such as aspergillosis, erythema multiforme medicinal rashes, and herpetic epidermolysis bullosa. It includes the following four conditions: 1. squeezing the normal-looking skin between two blisters, the stratum corneum is easily disrupted, exposing the vesicles beneath it. 2. squeezing healthy skin where no rash exists can also result in stripping of the epidermal stratum corneum. 3. When an intact blister is lightly pressed, the blister fluid spreads to the surrounding skin and the epidermis of the surrounding skin is lifted. 4. Pulling on the broken blisters, the cuticle of the skin can be gradually peeled off, and even peeled off to the appearance of normal skin. It is recommended that patients with abnormal skin manifestations go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of specialized doctors.
