Newborn ears redness should be considered from two aspects, as follows: 1, physiological phenomenon: newborn ears capillaries are rich, the surrounding environment is too high or when the newborn package is too much, capillaries appear dilated resulting in rich blood flow, resulting in redness in both ears, which is a physiological phenomenon; 2, pathological phenomenon: common mosquito bites, bite side of the auricle often appear red and swollen, parents can find mosquito bite traces. Eczema is a congenital deformity, i.e., a preauricular fistula that can easily lead to ear infection causing pus and fluid flow from the preauricular fistula, thus penetrating into the auricle causing auricular inflammation. Eczema is characterized by yellow crusting of the auricle or external auditory canal or even the appearance of yellow water, along with other skin rashes. In addition to redness of the auricle, newborns with running water, fluid, obvious crying, reduced milk intake or fever need to be seen by an otolaryngologist or considered to have otitis media, which requires immediate oral antibiotic treatment.
