What to do if your blood pressure is low?

Low blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure, high diastolic blood pressure can generally be treated by lifestyle modification and oral antihypertensive drugs. The normal value of diastolic blood pressure is 60~90mmHg, and a diastolic blood pressure level of ≥90mmHg on three occasions not on the same day can be diagnosed as hypertension. Patients with hypertension should make lifestyle adjustments, strictly control salt intake, eat a low-fat diet, eat more vegetables, and exercise appropriately. For patients with high diastolic blood pressure, if the blood pressure level is still high after lifestyle adjustment, it is recommended that patients take oral antihypertensive drug therapy, such as amlodipine, valsartan, metoprolol, captopril, hydrochlorothiazide and other medications, and choose the appropriate medication according to the characteristics of the patient’s condition. Patients with elevated diastolic blood pressure should choose appropriate drugs under the guidance of physicians, try to choose long-acting preparations, and the treatment plan should be individualized.
