Do not drink saffron during menstruation

Saffron, also known as Western Saffron, is not recommended to drink saffron during menstruation under normal circumstances; if it is needed for medical conditions, such as irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea caused by blood stasis, it can be taken under the guidance of a doctor.
Saffron is the dried stigma of saffron in the iris family, sweet in flavor and flat in nature. It belongs to heart and liver meridians. It has the efficacy of activating blood circulation, removing blood stasis, cooling the blood and detoxifying the toxin, relieving depression and tranquilizing the mind, and can be used in the treatment of menstrual obstruction, post-partum stasis, warm-heat poisonous spots (warm-heat poisonous evils invade the human body resulting in the appearance of spots and plaques on the skin), melancholic congestion, palpitations and frenzy, and other diseases.
Saffron, Salvia miltiorrhiza, motherwort, and aromatic herbs are decocted in water for the treatment of menstrual closure, menstrual pain, and postpartum lumbago; saffron, black beans, and brown sugar are decocted in water for the treatment of menstrual irregularities.
It should be noted that pregnant women should be careful with this drug, if there is no menstrual disorders and other symptoms are not recommended to overdose, so as not to cause menstrual bleeding. Specific medication should follow the doctor’s instructions, should not be self-medication.
