Gentian Diarrhea Liver Tang is composed of Gentian herb, Gardenia jasminoides, Zedoaria japonica, Scutellaria baicalensis, Angelica sinensis, Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Mucuna pruriens, Plantago lanceolata, Radix Bupleurum Chinense, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae. The adverse effects of this formula are unclear, and there is no relevant literature or research pointing to the harmful effects of this formula on the body.
Longdian Diarrhea Liver Tang has the efficacy of clearing dampness and heat from the liver meridian, and clearing and diarrhea solid fire of the liver and gallbladder. It can be used in treating inflammation of liver and gallbladder, manifesting as redness of the eyes and headache, bitter taste in the mouth, and dystocia (pain in the area of coeruleus and ribs). It can also be used for the syndrome of dampness-heat infiltration from the liver meridian (dampness and heat invading the intestines, bladder, pubic region, lower limbs, etc.), which manifests as swelling of the pubic region, itching of the pubic region, yellowish odor underneath the belt, and drenching of the urine.
