The nature of lung nodule may cause joint pain if it is lung cancer, while it usually does not cause joint pain if it is benign disease such as pneumonia.
1. Lung cancer: Lung cancer is the most common lung malignant tumor, which is usually manifested as lung nodules in imaging examination. If bone metastasis occurs in the late stage of lung cancer, or hypertrophic osteoarthropathy occurs in paraneoplastic syndrome caused by lung cancer, there may be arthralgia, pathologic fracture, mortar and pestle finger and other manifestations.
2. Benign diseases: benign diseases such as pneumonia, tuberculosis and rheumatoid nodule will not cause joint pain. Tuberculosis may cause arthralgia if it affects the bones, and rheumatoid arthritis with pulmonary rheumatoid nodules may cause arthralgia, but these are not caused by the pulmonary nodules themselves.
It is recommended that the patient seek medical attention and follow the doctor’s instructions for examination, identification of the cause of joint pain, and treatment.
