Effects of Econazole Nitrate Spray

Econazole nitrate spray is a topical antifungal drug that is broad-spectrum, highly effective, and has few side effects. It is generally effective against dermatophytes and candidiasis of the skin, and allergic reactions or drug resistance rarely occur during treatment. Some patients may experience local erythema, itching, and burning sensation due to irritation, and care should be taken not to apply it to the groin area. It can also be used to treat the most common clinical fungal dermatoses, such as tinea corporis, ringworm, tinea cruris, lichen planus, marasmus folliculitis, superficial nail fungus, and ringworm of the head. It is best to combine other antifungal drugs together during treatment, such as bifenazole, liraglutide, terbinafine, etc. Oral antifungal drug treatment is required when necessary. Combination of antifungal drugs can increase the efficacy and it is recommended to continue the drug for 1 week after improvement to avoid relapse.
