Electroencephalography is the first measure to diagnose pediatric epilepsy

The pediatric population is not a microcosm of the adult population, and all systems develop rapidly after birth, especially the brain. Convulsions are very common in this particular age group of children, such as pediatric epilepsy, febrile convulsions, pediatric convulsions with diarrhea, etc., the incidence of which can be as high as 2~4%; there are also many pediatric neuropsychiatric seizure disorders, such as Tourette’s syndrome, non-epileptic myoclonus, and habitual rubbing of the legs syndrome, etc., the incidence of which is also very high. EEG is an indispensable tool for the diagnosis of the above symptoms. The EEG has been used for more than 80 years and is the main test for the diagnosis of convulsions, especially epilepsy. It is also one of the means of determining non-epileptic events. With the development of computers, the development of EEG has been promoted, and video and EEG monitoring have been widely used in clinical practice. Currently we apply video EEG: Nicolet EEG (imported instruments). Advantages: 1. It can record pediatric seizure symptoms in real time for a longer period of time with clear images. 2, we have strong technical force to ensure the quality, the positive rate of up to 90%, to help clinicians correctly diagnose pediatric neurological and psychiatric disorders; 3, especially for the classification of pediatric epilepsy and the selection of medication to provide help for children with epilepsy to provide a basis for the reduction of medication. 4.Single person, single room, maximize the protection of each child’s privacy. 5. Ensure the timeliness of examination and report.
