What are multiple lymph nodes?

Multiple lymph nodes is not a disease, but mostly a localized lymph node that is visible on imaging because it is enlarged. Normal lymph node structures do not show up during CT, MR, and other imaging of the body. When the lymph nodes are enlarged, the imaging will reveal the enlarged lymph nodes, and the words “single or multiple enlarged lymph nodes in a certain area” will appear on the patient’s imaging report. The cause of enlarged lymph nodes mainly reflects the presence of disease in the lymphatic drainage area, which is commonly caused by inflammatory lymph nodes due to local inflammation or metastatic lymph nodes due to malignant tumors. It is important to note that lymph node enlargement is also possible in normal conditions, so patients with abnormal imaging reports should seek prompt medical attention for interpretation by a medical professional.
