The most important items of the medical examination

The most important tests for physical examination are liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidney, heart and lung. The heart examination includes electrocardiogram and cardiac ultrasound, which can check whether there is insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle and whether there are any arrhythmia problems. Lung examination mainly includes spirometry and pulmonary imaging, such as frontal and lateral chest radiographs, which can screen for tuberculosis, chest displacements, and pneumonia. Liver and gallbladder tests are performed by blood tests for liver function and ultrasonography for fatty liver, hepatic hemangioma, liver cysts and gallbladder stones. Kidney examination is done by blood test for kidney function and ultrasound for kidney stones. Then there are blood glucose, blood lipid and blood pressure tests. Blood glucose tests can screen for diabetes; blood lipids usually include cholesterol and triglycerides, which can check for hyperlipidemia; and blood pressure, which can check for hypertension by measuring blood pressure.
